Understanding the Nine Personality Types
The Enneagram is a powerful tool that can help you bring more
consciousness into your daily life.
It is being acclaimed all over the world as a valuable method of self-development.
It is an effective way of understanding yourself and the people close to you, in both
your personal relationships and at work.
Subhuti has been teaching the Enneagram for more than forty years. He trained with Oscar Ichazo, creator of the Enneagram system. In 1974, he went to New York and learned the nine personality types, then qualified as a trainer for the Arica Institute, which was founded on Ichazo’s teachings. Subhuti has led workshops and seminars in the USA, India, Germany, Italy, Canada, Sweden, Israel and many other countries. Over the years, Subhuti has developed his own unique approach to helping people discover their Enneagram type, creating an inter-active method that is both playful and profound.
“My god, I’m a robot!”
To have this realization is shocking, because it means that “I am not free.”
It means that some kind of program is controlling my behavior.
Can it be true… for me, for you, for all of us?
The Enneagram system reveals how it happened and shows us how we can be free of it.
When we were small children, we experimented with different strategies in order to receive more love and attention from our parents.
Around the age 6-9 years old, we selected the strategy that worked best.
From then on, whenever we felt insecure, or in stress, we understood that we needed to use this strategy. So it became a habit, and, like all habits, slowly disappeared into the unconscious part of our minds.
Now, as adults, we don’t need such strategies. But still, the habit continues. So, like it or not, whenever we feel insecure or in stress, the strategy emerges from the unconscious and influences our behavior.
Hence the realization, “I’m a robot!”
But there is good news: when we discover the strategy we chose as children, we can see how it influences our lives as adults. With this kind of self-awareness, we can be free of its grip.
This is an important step in psychological health and individual maturity. Only at this point can we say that we are fully responsible and in charge of our lives.
The Enneagram was developed as a psychological tool in the 1960s and ‘70s by Oscar Ichazo, a spiritual teacher and mystic.
Anand Subhuti learned the system from Ichazo and has been leading Enneagram workshops around the world for the past thirty years.
He has developed his own unique method of helping people discover their type, combining deep insight with humor and simplicity.
By being more conscious and by practicing the tools that are being given in the seminar, you can certainly improve the quality of your life in a meaningful way.
It is an effective way of understanding yourself and the people close to you, in both personal relationships and at work.
If you wish to change some habits that don't serve you anymore, this seminar is for you.
